GREEK STUDENTS’ FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS

ROMANIA

The trip to Romania was unforgettable. The students welcomed us with love and they were eager to make our five-day stay exceptional. Their parents drove us to different places of entertainment. We visited parks, botanical gardens and farms. It was so fun!
Last but not least, the party after the farewell ceremony rose us up but the last quarter of an hour was heart-breaking. However, my co-traveller Fanis and I knew that these children would always stay in our hearts. We are looking forward to seeing them again.
Miss you all !!!
Christos Kyriazis

In my trip from Greece to Romania I realized that we are all the same, regardless religion, country and culture. We met each other and we made a lot of good friends.
The family who hosted me was great! I have no words to describe how kind and wonderful they were. I will always remember my friends from Romania. That’s why we talk to each other very often. I am waiting for them to come to Greece. I believe that the people who will travel here will have an unforgettable experience. And those who will not come…I hope that we will meet again in the future.

POLAND

My visit in Poland was definitely one of the best trips of my life so far. I loved every single thing about that trip. The places I visited, the new friends I made and all of the people I met. I owe most of the fun I had to the host family, without a doubt.
From the moment I arrived in Koluszki till the end of the week they were very friendly and they surely made me feel very comfortable with them. As for the places I visited, I think that they were absolutely amazing and the family made a really great choice of sights to visit. All in all, it was the greatest week of my life, no doubt about it.

TURKEY

My trip to Turkey was one of the best in my life. Something new began when our airplane took off, new experiences, new friends and new knowledge started with Comenius. When I arrived in Turkey, I felt great. In a few hours I met Ramazan’s family, which was very hospitable. We had a great time together. On our first meeting at their school, I met many new friends. When the whole week finished, I left Turkey full of memories that I will never forget! I’m looking forward to our reunion!

In our trip to Turkey I met a new culture but surprisingly I realized that we have so many things in common! I met a lot of friends and a new family who loved me and hosted me in the best way possible. This experience was amazing and I hope to see my friends again in Greece.

Portugal team in Turkey

The delegation of the Vocational School of Esposende - composed by the students Sara Tavares, TR7 class, and Carlos Silva, TRC1 class, and by the teachers António Conde, Berta Peixoto and Joana Fernandes - was received in Turkey with a welcoming dinner
The next day the activities at school began. We were greeted by a group of students with flags from each of the participating countries and by the school director,  who thanked for our presence and wished us a successful work and a pleasant stay.
Thereafter, the introductions of each of the teams and the exchange of t-shirts, began. After a short coffee break, the students made a presentation on “Spring Events” held in each country and a visit to the exhibition of various works done by Turkish students
After lunch, there was a meeting of the project coordination and the activities were taken up again. Students and teachers were divided: the students participated in sports activities, music and crafts, and the teachers presented a festive day of their school and country, as well as, held a workshop on Prezi.
The day began with a cultural visit to Ankara. Students and teachers from all countries visited the Mausoleum of Ataturk. Then there was a visit to Hamamönü, a traditional Turkish historic village. After lunch, the delegation visited the Ankara Castle and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, and had the opportunity to meet a Turkish bazaar. The day ended in Göksu Parki with a small snack, obviously accompanied by Turkish tea.
The last day of the 3rd meeting  of the Comenius Project PEACE began with a visit to a bread factory, where students and teachers got to know all the preparing process of Turkish bread. Next, the delegation was received by the National Board of Education, the Regional Director and his team who congratulated all teams participating in the project.
After lunch, students and teachers participated in a craft workshop, at the Public Education Center, where they got to know a bit more about Turkish culture.
Back to school, the teams exchanged the “Sweet Box” and participated in a Quiz about Turkey, to test the knowledge acquired during our stay in Ankara. At the end of the day, we could watch a magnificent spectacle of Turkish dances and various presentations prepared by the school students, followed by the delivery of certificates of attendance in the Comenius project PEACE
At night, the teachers of all the participating countries had the opportunity to taste a typical Turkish dinner and the students attended a farewell party with dances.
