Memories about visit in Turkey- Polish team

The 3rd Comenius meeting in Turkey was an amazing experience for our team. Our hosts prepared for us many attractions. The first part of the visit was staying in Sakarya Ortaokulu, when we met our hosts, teachers, students and parents. As a sign of friendship we shared T-shirts with our flags printed on them. Our students liked it very much.
We visited Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. The very special moment was while we were visiting Mustafa
Kemal Atatürk Mausoleum, who was the founder and the first president of the Republic of Turkey. We saw also Anatolian Civilisations Museum. It was like a trip to the past. The exhibits collected there are made of of gold, silver, glass, marble and bronze. The  works date back as far as the second half of the first millennium BC. Amazing! We were given the opp
ortunity to watch the wonderful view from the hill where Ancara Calesi is located. We enjoyed walking along the picturesque streets and in Göksu Park. We tried the taste of Turkish cuisine, which was an sensual adventure for us. We thank a lot our Turkish friends for hospitality and open hearts. We learnt a lot about Turkish culture and customs. We will never forget this visit.

Meeting in Turkey

Another meeting is over and we are all left with mixed feelings…
Happiness and joy because we travelled to a beautiful country and saw all our dear friends again…and sadness because this amazing experience has ended…

My students are so excited…they cannot stop talking about the wonderful things they saw and the new friends they made….they tell me that the host families were amazing and that they will never forget their kindness and hospitality…they want to know which students are coming to Greece in October and they are very eager to host them…I love seeing their eyes sparkling and their hearts filled with love and happiness…

For me every meeting is special…I learn so many things and I am grateful I am a part of this project…I really feel that I have made real friends and great partners…

I would like to thank Mine and all her team for all their hard work…they really made this whole trip enjoyable and unforgettable…I have been to Turkey before but this time I enjoyed it more because I was among friends…it was really a unique experience…Thanks again Turkey!

Greek teachers' thoughts about spring

"Spring is the childhood of the year, it is a natural resurrection, an idea of immortality, we feel it...we smell it...we live it...Along with spring come sunshiny days and a more optimistic mood."
George Kousinioris, maths teacher

"For me, spring is my garden and my children's eyes."
Olga Giantsiou, PE teacher

"In spring our mood changes along with the weather. People are happier and they are getting ready for summer."
Dora Tsachouridou, German teacher

"Summer means Greece but actually the best period to visit Greece is spring when all nature flourishes. Nothing compares to the night walks in Plaka, under the Acropolis and the smell of the Evening Primrose in spring."
Tonia Kalkavoura, special language teacher
