The 3rd Comenius meeting in Turkey was an amazing experience
for our team. Our hosts prepared for us many attractions. The first part of the
visit was staying in Sakarya Ortaokulu, when we met our hosts, teachers, students and
parents. As a sign of friendship we shared T-shirts with our flags printed on
them. Our students liked it very much.
We visited Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. The very special moment was while we were visiting Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Mausoleum, who was the founder and the first president of the Republic of Turkey. We saw also Anatolian Civilisations Museum. It was like a trip to the past. The exhibits collected there are made of of gold, silver, glass, marble and bronze. The works date back as far as the second half of the first millennium BC. Amazing!
